Parametric Parking Structure Generator:
Parametric Parking Structure Generator (PPSG) is a customized parametric design tool used to create parking structure models in Rhino and Grasshopper software.
The tool allows designers to quickly evaluate multiple design options by simply adjusting key parameters used to create parking structures such as size and shape of the site, parking standards, column grid spacing, ramp placement, building height, and number of levels. to arrive at the preferred solution.
By adjusting the parameters, PPSG generates and updates a 3D model of the parking structure in real-time and provides critical data such as ramp slopes, parking spaces and area summaries and design efficiency. The model can then be utilized in Virtual Reality software or exported to BIM software used to create construction documentation.
Recent update allows users to adjust the parameters and view the 3D model in AR environment.

— 2050 Sunset Strip Urban Design & Incubation Community Design
Los Angeles is worldwide famous because of the Film Industry in Hollywood. Sunset Boulervard connects Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Because the site's unique location, many influential director or superstars in Hollywood pass this area frequently. If this area becomes an incubation center for artists and filmmakers, new energy will be injected to Sunset Strip in 2050. And Sunset Strip will be the best platform for the young artists and filmmakers.
In 2050, the age of autonomous cars, we would like to explore a new method of visual communication. The "billboards" can be combined with the working and residential space, which can become a new form of community and benefits the new residents.
— Mobility System & Transportation Station Design in KoreaTown, 2030
Twill calls for the reconfiguration of current mobility networks in anticipation of a future that is exclusive to autonomous vehicles. Twill also proposes a program that responds to the educational deficiency in KoreaTown.
— Auto. Environments Design
With the increasing development of technology and society, people require more about high quality of life experience in automobile space. By collaborating with BMW Design Group, we explore more possibilities of human activites in vehicle.
The vehicle is called cloud, which is a mobile spa space offering comfortable and static experience for people. By doing the research about spa activites based on five senses, see, hear, touch, smell and taste, it is found that "touch" is the most important aspect of spa. So we highlight the focal touch points, analyze the body position, combine different activites and then create the position gird as well as develop into a dynamic system. By introducing the inflation system, it is possible to achieve instant reaction to changeable position and multiple activites, which significantly enhances the quality of people's experience.
Meanwhile, the focus on improving human experience in automobile is also manifested on exterior design of the car, changing the form of the vehicle by pneumatic structure in order to cater the need of different envionment.

— Real-time Control of Robotic System through Virtual Reality
With the combination of physical model and projection, the theme of this project which aims to simulate the grow-up process of natural objects could be realized; Moreover, there are 2 types of contrast in the project.
On one hand, the contrast of figure is realized by showing 2 different status such as partition and joining together, integrated and segmented mass.
On the other hand, the project focuses on the contrast between rigid materials like plastics and soft materials like silicones, which formed the frameworks and inflated parts of the object respectively.
Robot arm provides motion to simulate the relative motion between two geometry which represents the meaning only in one dimension. The movement is greatly inspired by some natural process. Limited by real time and materials, it is impossible to revive it completely.
Motion of robot and inflation of silicon is not only controlled by any program, but also robot and physical model create a system that collaborate with human, through some extension device, such as leap motion, controller and augmented reality.
Therefore, Projection adds abundant details on our object, such as how plants grow and spread, how materials fission and how everything turns to ashes. Besides, projection provide us a new perspective to understand the divergence on rigid material and soft material.
— Festival Light Installation at Bombay Beach Biannual
The 9*9 is not only an illuminated object, but is also able to generate the dynamic effect of light. The light installation has two main parts, base structure and lantern. And the lantern is comprised by three light boxes that each is a 9*9 matrix of dynamic pixels with LED lights. The LED lights are connected by digital wires so they can be programmed by Arduino. According to different program scripts, the pixels could produce interesting effect from emoji faces to color pattern.
With the speculated different kinds of sensors and corresponding programs, the installation can enhance the interactions between light and people so it can greatly enrich the festival experience.
-- Pavilion Design and Robot-assisted Construction
The workshop explored collaborative robotics and incremental forming techniques in the fabrication of an outdoor sculptural pavilion which consists of 57 stainless steel panels with 612 indentations on them, and 1730 screws are used to connect them.
Collaborative robotics involves the interaction of multiple robots to undertake coordinated tasks. In this workshop we worked with two Kuka robots and Robo Team to create non-repeating structrual elements. The robots will be programmed through KukaPRC running in Rhino/Grasshopper.
